Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Data Modelling Engineer LookML to design, build, and maintain scalable semantic data models in Looker.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, SQL, and LookML, enabling reliable, performant, and business-friendly analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, views, explores, and dashboards in Looker.

- Build and optimize semantic data models to support self-service analytics and BI reporting.

- Partner with data engineers and analytics teams to model data from data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across analytics layers.

- Optimize SQL queries and LookML code for scalability and performance.

- Implement data governance, access controls, and reusable modeling patterns in Looker.

- Translate business requirements into robust analytical data models.

- Support data validation, testing, and documentation of models.

- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in data modeling, analytics engineering, or BI development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Looker and LookML.

- Advanced SQL skills for analytical querying and transformations.

- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas).

- Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse).

- Experience with data quality checks and performance tuning.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
