Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Data Architect with strong expertise in Databricks to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modern data platforms, cloud environments, and data architecture principles, with a proven track record of delivering robust data pipelines and systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks
- Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate them into
technical solutions
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across data platforms
- Optimize performance of data workflows and storage systems
- Implement best practices in data modeling, architecture, and pipeline orchestration
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering / data architecture
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Databricks
- Strong proficiency in Python / PySpark / SQL
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, ADF)
- Knowledge of data lake and lakehouse architectures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in designing Lakehouse architecture
- Exposure to real-time data processing (Kafka, streaming frameworks)
- Certification in cloud or Databricks technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Soft Skills :
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance
