Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with deep expertise in designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data architectures and solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise data strategy, modern data engineering practices, cloud-based analytics, and a solid understanding of data governance, scalability, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and design enterprise-scale data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).
- Define data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across Fabric components.
- Provide technical leadership in integrating data from diverse sources (on-prem, cloud, APIs) into the Fabric ecosystem.
- Design and oversee implementation of advanced data transformation and enrichment processes using Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and Spark.
- Partner with analytics, BI, and business stakeholders to define data strategy ensuring availability, accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Architect storage strategy on OneLake ensuring security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Define and review enterprise data models to support Power BI reporting and advanced analytics.
- Establish governance, compliance, security, and privacy standards within the Fabric data ecosystem.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and reliability improvements of mission-
critical data platforms.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams, driving technical excellence in an Agile delivery environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric components : Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Spark (PySpark/Scala).
- Proven experience in architecting solutions integrating multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
- Expertise in enterprise data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and large-scale ETL/ELT architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX for enterprise-grade analytics integration.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks) is a strong plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to drive data strategy at scale
