Data Architect - Google Cloud Platform

Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring efficient data integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.

- Develop and optimize data models, data lakes, and data warehouses on GCP.

- Work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer and other GCP services for data processing.

- Ensure data quality, governance, and security compliance across platforms.

- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency.

- Document data processes, architecture, and workflows for transparency and reusability.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Strong programming experience in Python for data engineering.

- Expertise in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning).

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud

Storage, Composer, Pub/Sub.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, partitioning.

- Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow/Composer) and version control (Git).

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Relevant experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-based environments (preferably GCP).

- Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) will be an added advantage.
