Role Overview :
The Data Analyst - Clinical role is a crucial position within our analytics team, responsible for extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing clinical data to support research, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and other data scientists to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient care, optimizing clinical workflows, and advancing medical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities :
- Extract clinical data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), clinical trials databases, and registries, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Clean and preprocess clinical data, addressing missing values, inconsistencies, and outliers to prepare it for analysis.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in clinical data, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict patient outcomes, identify risk factors, and optimize treatment strategies.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical solutions, ensuring the relevance and impact of your work.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data quality standards and procedures, ensuring the reliability and consistency of clinical data.
- Support the development of reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated proficiency in using MySQL for data extraction, manipulation, and management.
- Proven ability to perform comprehensive data analysis, including statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience in clinical data management, including data cleaning, validation, and quality control.
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics concepts and methodologies, including clinical outcome analysis, risk stratification, and population health management.
- Excellent data visualization skills, with the ability to create clear and informative charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
