PeopleSoft Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)

Cynosure Technologies is looking for an experienced PeopleSoft Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to support its client, the University of Houston, USA. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, PeopleSoft HCM / Financials, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases supporting PeopleSoft applications.

- Manage database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes using Oracle RMAN.

- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.

- Execute database refreshes, cloning, and environment management activities.

- Implement database security measures, access controls, and encryption.

- Support PeopleSoft HCM / Financials and related ERP database environments.

- Monitor database health, resolve performance issues, and ensure availability and reliability.

- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support database operations and resolve technical issues.

Required Technical Skills :

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.

- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM / Financials.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN, backup, and recovery.

- Experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Hands-on experience with database refreshes and cloning.

- Knowledge of database security, access management, and encryption.

- Experience supporting PeopleSoft or similar ERP environments is preferred.
