About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Laravel / PHP Engineer to design, develop, and optimize our multi-tenant healthcare data applications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with strong expertise in modern web architecture, AWS serverless deployments, and secure healthcare data handling practices. Team leadership or mentoring experience is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- Oversee architecture, development, and maintenance of multi-tenant applications using Laravel / PHP

- Design and deploy scalable serverless solutions using AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, API Gateway, SQS)

- Collaborate closely with frontend teams (React.js) for seamless API integrations

- Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases for performance and data integrity

- Implement data security, encryption, and access control aligned with healthcare compliance (HIPAA preferred)

- Enforce best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and reviews

- Monitor and resolve issues using tools like Sentry and CloudWatch

- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, and Product teams

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions

Required Skills :

Backend :

- Expert in Laravel / PHP, REST APIs, multi-tenant architecture

- Strong knowledge of Eloquent ORM, queues, and event-driven systems

Frontend Exposure :

- Working understanding of React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript

AWS & Serverless :

- Hands-on with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL/MSSQL), ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch

- AWS Vapor experience preferred

Databases :

- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MSSQL schema design, indexing, and performance tuning

Security & Compliance :

- Experience with data encryption, tokenization, access control, and healthcare data

governance

Testing & Quality :

- Unit and integration testing using Pest / PhpUnit

- CI pipeline exposure

Leadership :

- Experience mentoring developers and working in agile environments
