Job Summary :

We are seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of our engineering teams.

This role will be critical in driving process efficiency, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring that engineering projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering or technical project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Operational Leadership : Develop and implement operational processes that support engineering productivity, resource planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

- Program & Project Management : Oversee timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across engineering initiatives; monitor risks and dependencies to ensure smooth execution.

- Performance & Metrics : Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and other performance metrics to measure and improve engineering efficiency and delivery.

- Budget & Vendor Management : Assist in budget planning, forecast spend, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.

- Tools & Infrastructure : Evaluate and implement tools, workflows, and automation to streamline engineering operations and reporting.

- Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the liaison between engineering and other departments (Product, Finance, HR, etc.) to align goals, priorities, and timelines.

- Continuous Improvement : Identify pain points and implement best practices in engineering processes, agile ceremonies, and release planning.

Minimum Job Requirements :

- Four-year college degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline) or Business Operations.

- Ten (10)+ years of experience.

- Experience in creating, analyzing, documenting, and testing system and subsystem designs.

- Mental ability to perform engineering problem-solving and analytical tasks.

- Familiarity with project management principles.

- Must be able to work under project deadlines and be able to establish and maintain engineering project schedules and cost budgets.

- Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

- Requires strong team building and multi-tasking skills.

- Must be a proactive leader who is decisive and action-oriented, and can liaise effectively with project teams, project managers, and customers (internal and external).

- Project management qualifications, such as PMI PMP, are desired.
