JOB TITLE : Delivery Manager

DEPARTMENT : Research & Development

REPORTS TO : Vice President, R&D

PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB :

Delivery Manager is responsible for serving as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business/IT strategy planning, development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.

- Provides leadership, organizational structure and resource management for multiple Engineering teams.

- Provide technical leadership and innovation across all aspects of technology development.

- Provide support and mentoring to technical team leads, including talent and succession planning.

- Lead and manage technical delivery resources.

- Establishes and organizes application development plans aligned with the goals / strategies of the business staffed with appropriately skilled technical resources.

- Plans work for subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals. Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff.

- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

- Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget.

- Communicates technical and operational issues to engineering and audit leadership in a timely manner.

- Ensure that technology solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with architectural principles, standards and roadmaps.

- Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.

- Support business required technology freeze periods.

- Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system / technical requirements.

- Communication between business, client, staff and engineering teams.

- Manages staff, teams, and matrix resources to meet service delivery SLAs.

- Planning and management of projects supporting Enterprise areas.

- Solution enhancements improving performance / availability.

- Facilitating discussions and consensus among various stakeholders.

- Maintenance and management of business relationships with clients and business partner organizations.

- Corporate application availability and delivery meets or exceeds negotiated SLA's and business/client objectives.

- Contributes to the productivity of the organization through on-time completion of projects associated with meeting departmental objectives.

- Positive trending for customer satisfaction results.

- Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.

- Delivery Management objectives in Onshore & Offshore Model for multiple clients across the globe.

- Gather and report detailed performance data against key indicators, to generate actionable improvements to the quality of service offered.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :

- Masters or bachelor's in engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.

- 15+ years of experience in IT development with minimum 5+ years of experience in application design activities.

- Min 5+ years of experience in implementing projects leveraging Java, Microservices and cloud implementations i.e. AWS / Azure services.

- Good technical experience in Java, Angular, DevOps and open-source projects.

- Strong understanding of SDLC and Architecture.

- Should be able to work with Architects & TLs and provide inputs and guidance on best practices and architecture.

- Exposure to Agile / TDD / BDD based development.

- Organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with minimal direction.

- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

- Troubleshoot bottlenecks and propose changes to fix them.

- Ability to work on multiple projects and Initiatives in parallel.

- Need to identify skillset gap and necessary Trainings for Teams.

- Lead the projects from inception till production rollout and support as well.
