Job Overview :

- Design, implement, and manage Cosmos DB accounts, databases, and containers.

- Monitor Cosmos DB performance, optimize queries, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

- Implement and manage data modeling strategies within Cosmos DB to support application requirements.

- Handle data migrations, backups, and recovery operations for Cosmos DB instances.

- Configure and maintain Cosmos DB security, including access control and encryption.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal integration of Cosmos DB into applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Cosmos DB performance, availability, or data integrity.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Cosmos DB features, best practices, and industry trends.

Requirements :

- 5 to 7 years of experience as a Cosmos DBA or in a similar NoSQL database administration role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB.

- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA.

- Solid understanding of NoSQL database concepts and data modeling principles.

- Experience with Cosmos DB API choices (e.g., SQL API, MongoDB API, Cassandra API).

- Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing Cosmos DB performance.

- Familiarity with Azure portal and Azure command-line tools for managing Cosmos DB.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with other Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service).

- Knowledge of other NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Certifications related to Azure or Cosmos DB
