About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the implementation of a large-scale Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) initiative focused on transforming education governance through technology.
This is a high-impact, multi-stakeholder program aimed at building an integrated, AI-enabled digital infrastructure for data-driven decision-making, monitoring, and service delivery in the education sector.
You will serve as the central coordination point across government stakeholders, technology partners, and implementation teams-ensuring strategic alignment, timely execution, and compliance with technical and administrative requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end project management of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) implementation across all core modules, including data lake infrastructure, dashboards, and user-facing platforms.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders and cross-functional departments such as MIS, Finance, Academic Services, and IT to ensure timely execution, alignment, and compliance with defined objectives.
- Oversee the execution of a cloud-native, modular technology architecture, collaborating with backend, DevOps, and data engineering teams on real-time ingestion, metadata management, and API-driven integrations.
- Develop and track comprehensive project plans, including workstreams, milestones, deliverables, risk mitigation, and inter-team dependencies.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating functional needs into technical specifications and ensuring shared understanding.
- Manage documentation, reviews, and progress reporting through dashboards, reports, and presentations for decision-makers and project governance bodies.
Key Requirements :
- 4-6 years of professional experience in project management roles, with at least 3 years in government or public-sector implementations.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder government projects, especially involving data platforms or education-sector digital infrastructure.
- Exposure to higher education systems or edtech solutions is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of modern technology stacks, backend architectures, data lake infrastructure, ETL pipelines, and API-first systems.
- Ability to speak fluently with tech teams (developers, engineers, architects) as well as build trust with government officials and education leaders.
- Proficient in creating and managing Gantt charts, agile boards, milestone trackers, and risk registers.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education Technology, Public Policy, or a related field.
- PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certification is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-native tools, DevSecOps practices, or AI-based governance systems is a plus.
What Youll Gain :
- A chance to work on one of Indias most ambitious, digitally unified education governance initiatives, built on the proven success of data-driven models like the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK).
- The opportunity to drive policy-aligned technology interventions that will impact millions of learners and hundreds of institutions across the state.
- Hands-on experience managing a high-visibility, multi-crore public sector program, with direct coordination across key government departments and leadership bodies.
- Exposure to cutting-edge work in cloud-native infrastructure, education data platforms, and AI-enabled public governance systems
