Job Summary :

Responsible for working with the Network and Systems Engineers to create, maintain and enforce security plans and policies effecting the network.

Responsible for securing all information and information systems assets of the Company network infrastructure.

Design/install/operations of VPN, SoHo, WAF, IDS, DDoS, Partner Access Solutions, Network Security Stack powering Zero-Trust, Firewalls and microsegmentation protecting CCS operations infrastructure (SIEM, DataLake, WAF, IDS, SOC dashboards).

Plays a lead role in the design of security safeguards and ongoing verification of Company's network security posture.

Acts as a Network Security Subject Matter Expert for the company.

Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities.

Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.

May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description :

Position : Network Security Engineer 4.

Experience : 8 years to 12 years.

Job Location : Chennai Tamil Nadu.

What Youll Bring :

- Demonstrable knowledge of telecoms infrastructure and associated risks with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

- Familiarity with risk management frameworks (e.g., ENISA, ISO 27005, ISO 27001).

- Proficiency in Excel and risk reporting tools (e.g. ServiceNow GRC).

- Outstanding written and verbal presentational skills coupled with high demonstrable proficiency in presenting risk information and KPIs.

- Understanding of information security principles and regulatory compliance (e.g. TSA).

- Experience in Telecoms or technology risk roles is desirable.

- Exposure to incident management and business continuity processes is a plus.

What Youll Do :

- Assist in maintaining the telecoms risk management framework and processes.

- Collaborate closely with Engineering and GRC/Security functions to gather risk-related information to support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities across telecoms infrastructure and services.

- Triage Telecoms risks through the risk assessment process.

- Evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified Telecoms risks, considering both technical and business factors.

- Collect, analyse, and interpret telecoms risk data from various sources including the risk register, policy exceptions, audit findings and data security reviews to identify trends and patterns.

- Create and maintain detailed reports, dashboards, and visualisations that effectively communicate telecoms risk metrics and key performance indicators.

- Aggregate telecoms risks across UK, ROI and Italy.

- Monitor progress to remediate identified Telecoms risks.

- Support compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., TSA, NIST, NIS2) and internal governance standards.

- Assist in audits, assurance activities, and incident investigations.

- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders to resolve queries and issues related to Telco risk management and GRC tool.

- Assist in developing training material for key stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities :


- Recommends and ensures implementation of security safeguards to the Company's network.

- Security safeguards should be in accordance with industry standards, generally accepted business practices and Company security policies.

- Ensures Network and Systems Engineers follow security best practices when deploying/configuring hardware and software.

- Collaborates with the Network Operations team to ensure disaster recovery plans are viable and current.

- Works with the Network Operating Center to maintain up-to-date troubleshooting guides that pertain to security.

- Recommends policy for responding to security incidents along with a training program for those that might be involved.

- Researches new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our environment.

- Performs regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.

- Takes lead on security audits, both internal and external.

- Develops security scripts and recommend tools to support the Operations Security function.

- Helps ensure that customer SLAs are met at all times.

- Responds quickly to downtime situations.

- Communicates regularly with development and supports teams regarding system status and implementation schedules.

- Provides insight and resolutions on security matters, acting as a Subject Matter Expert on cross-functional projects.

- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

- Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Education :


- Bachelor's Degree.

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Relevant Work Experience : 7-10 Years.
