Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

Employment Type : Contract (6 Months Duration)

Experience : 5+ Years

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our IT Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing complex IT projects, with a specific focus on delivering high-quality results within enterprise network environments.

This role requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with various technical teams and departments to ensure seamless project execution, particularly for projects involving critical network applications, security solutions, and underlying infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and meticulously maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope definitions, precise resource allocation for engineering and support teams, stringent budget management, and realistic timeline estimations for complex infrastructure deployments.

- Lead and manage diverse project teams, encompassing network engineers, security specialists, and system administrators, ensuring that technical project goals are consistently met on time and within the allocated budget while adhering to architectural standards.

- Communicate project status, technical progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs) clearly and regularly to all stakeholders, including project sponsors, technical leads, and other relevant parties, translating technical details into business impact.

- Proactively identify and mitigate potential technical and operational project risks, such as hardware procurement delays, software integration challenges, or resource constraints, implementing strategic solutions to minimize their impact.

- Efficiently resolve technical issues as they arise, coordinating with specialized teams (e.g., network engineering, security

operations, vendors) to ensure minimal disruption to project timelines and objectives.

- Ensure that all project deliverables, including network configurations, security policies, system designs, and documentation, meet defined quality standards, comply with relevant industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and adhere to internal architectural guidelines.

- Specifically manage complex projects related to Enterprise Network applications and equipment, demonstrating a deep technical understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and device configurations. This includes overseeing implementations, upgrades, and migrations involving technologies such as Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for access

control, Cisco Catalyst Center for network management, Cisco ThousandEyes for network performance monitoring, and Palo Alto Panorama/Strata Cloud for centralized firewall management and cloud security.

- Facilitate technical design reviews, requirement gathering sessions, and solution workshops with engineering teams and architects to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and meet long-term infrastructure needs.

- Manage vendor relationships and third-party technical resources effectively, ensuring their deliverables integrate seamlessly into the overall project plan.

- Oversee the creation and review of technical documentation, including low-level designs, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks, to ensure smooth handover to operational teams.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a dedicated focus on IT infrastructure projects.

- Proven experience managing projects specifically for Enterprise Network applications and equipment, demonstrating an

understanding of the technical intricacies involved.

- Hands-on experience or strong conceptual understanding of the implementation and management of technologies such as Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ThousandEyes, and Palo Alto Panorama/Strata Cloud.

- Strong leadership, technical communication, and organizational skills, capable of driving technical teams and managing complex interdependencies.

- Ability to work effectively both independently in driving project phases and as a collaborative part of a broader technical team.

- PMP certification is preferred, or an equivalent number of additional years of demonstrative project management experience in the IT infrastructure domain
