Role Overview :

As a CMDB Architect, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform.

You will collaborate closely with IT service owners, application owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the CMDB accurately reflects the IT environment and supports key IT processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement the CMDB data model, ensuring it aligns with business requirements and industry best practices.

- Develop and maintain CMDB discovery processes, leveraging ServiceNow Discovery and other data sources to automatically populate and update the CMDB.

- Define and enforce CMDB data quality standards, implementing processes to identify and remediate data inconsistencies and inaccuracies.

- Collaborate with IT service owners and application owners to ensure the CMDB accurately reflects the configuration items (CIs) under their control.

- Develop and maintain CMDB reports and dashboards, providing insights into the IT environment and supporting data-driven decision-making.

- Provide guidance and training to other IT staff on CMDB best practices and processes.

- Participate in CMDB audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

- Integrate the CMDB with other IT systems, such as monitoring tools and asset management systems.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CMDB policies and procedures.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain a CMDB in a complex IT environment.

- Proven expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, including data model design, discovery, and reconciliation.

- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management, incident management, problem management, and change management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve CMDB data quality issues.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

- Experience: 6 - 15 years
