Job Title : Senior Dynamics 365 Developer

Location : India - Australian hours

Working Type : Remote

Employment Type : Contract 6 months - likely to extend

Role Overview :

Tech Specifics :

Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer with strong hands-on D365 F&O development experience, including X++, extensions, integrations, deployments, and production support.

Ideal Candidate Requirements :

The ideal candidate will also have strong Microsoft Power Platform expertise with experience in Copilot, AI Builder, and Copilot Studio to deliver AI-driven automation and modern agent solutions integrated with D365 data. Given the breadth of our implementation and customisations, we are seeking a Senior D365 F&O Developer with strong hands-on development experience, particularly in complex enterprise environments.

While deep expertise in every module is not required, candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of the core Finance and Supply Chain processes, including Inventory and Warehouse Management, as they are key areas within our current landscape.

Candidate Soft Skill Requirements :

Someone who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, adapt quickly to existing environments, and deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced project settings.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development of technical specs to meet functional requirements for the The client Dynamics 365 ERP Implementation Program.

- Provide D365 software programming solutions for IPT projects and BAU.

- Carry out configuration as required upon The client D365 environments.

- Provide technical and functional design advice for The client D365 solutions.

- Develop and maintain build and release automation systems for D365.

- Provide The client with design and planning expertise regarding Dynamics 365 solutions.

- Develop solutions within the The client Agile framework to include, but not limited to :

1. Writing user stories, and assisting in maintaining product backlog.

2. Providing accurate estimations.

3. Updates at daily stand-ups.

4. Testing applications.

5. Contributing to retrospectives.

6. Attending user acceptance testing sessions.

- Maintain focus on continual improvement.

- Provide ongoing operational support for internal The client Customers.

- Collaborate with The client D365 partners when necessary to ensure The client achieves its required outcome :

1. Provide The client with specific value solutions to meet their business needs within The clients delivery capability.

- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and understand the integration of these technologies into existing IT applications and infrastructures.

- Assess and evaluate risk and understand the implications of new technologies and their deployment as new concepts and or innovative solutions within the framework of the The client business.

- Mentor other team members in new technologies and work practices as required.

- Provision of end user training and supporting documentation.

- Promote Client culture which results in both staff and customer satisfaction.

- Undertake training in a professional manner and manage completion of assignments in accordance with defined timeframes.

- Apply security awareness across all workplace practices and comply with The client Cyber Security Incident process on a day to day basis.

Key Experience, Skills & Abilities :

- Minimum of 7 years in-depth knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 / D365 :

1. Demonstrated experience working in large ERP projects and a thorough understanding of ERP implementation principles.

- High level stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

- Proven experience in an IT development environment using a variety of technologies.

- Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers at all organisational levels.

- Experience in Agile (Scrum) development, methodologies, terminologies, and tools.

- Relevant Experience with the following :

1. Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development.

2. Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations installation and configuration.

3. Developing integration end points for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

4. Microsoft SQL Server basic development and maintenance.

- Non-Dynamics experience in software development is highly desirable.

- Experience with Information Security Management Systems, with the ability to effectively apply across all workplace practices.

- Possess the skills and traits necessary to be a successful software developer.

- Powershell scripting of Dynamics 365 release processes.

- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development (X++).

- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations configuration.

- Code and data upgrades.

- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations report development (SSRS and PowerBI).

- Effective oral and written communication skills that ensure clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders.

- Understanding of and ability to describe software development methodologies.

- Ability to liaise with stakeholders, end users, clients at different levels in the organisation.

- Be dedicated to continuous improvement, quality and risk management.
