Role Overview :

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining and leading cloud architecture strategy, modernizing applications to cloud-native and serverless architectures, and ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable systems. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on cloud expertise, and deep experience in DevOps and infrastructure engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive end-to-end cloud architecture and DevOps strategy across platforms

- Lead cloud modernization initiatives for Java-based applications to serverless and cloud-native architectures

- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS

- Lead and mentor DevOps/SRE teams to deliver reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions

- Architect infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices

- Ensure high system availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness

- Establish and enforce cloud security best practices and compliance standards

- Collaborate with application, platform, and security teams to align cloud solutions with business needs

- Drive CI/CD pipeline strategy and implementation for faster and reliable deployments

- Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks for proactive incident management

- Review cloud costs and optimize infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency

- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements

Required Skills & Competencies :

- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering

- 3+ years of experience leading DevOps or SRE teams

- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Lambda, and API Gateway

- Proven experience designing serverless and cloud-native architectures

- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation

- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab

- Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack

- Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity management

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Certifications :

- AWS Solution Architect Certification Mandatory

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with large-scale application modernization initiatives

- Exposure to SRE best practices and reliability engineering

- Experience working in high-availability and mission-critical environments
