We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Data Architect to join our team in the life sciences industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise data architecture frameworks, cloud solutions, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the life sciences domain.

Responsibilities :

- Build centralized, scalable data architectures (Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).

- Finalize technology stack and technical architecture on Azure and Databricks

- Design and implement multi-layered architecture (bronze, silver, gold) with clear data lineage.

- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models using Erwin and Power Designer.

- Experience in data extraction and ingestion from various sources such as SAP, Salesforce, SQL server, APIs and other business applications

- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.

- Configure mapping data flows and parameterization for dynamic pipeline design.

- Enable real-time streaming and batch processing with Structured Streaming and Delta Live Tables.

- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Databricks Workflows and Spark.

- Drive performance tuning and FinOps enablement for cost-efficient Spark workloads.

- Implement data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2), security, lineage, and observability.

- Guide CI/CD implementation using Databricks features and data infrastructure automation using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Create proof-of-concepts (POCs) that address business and technical needs and lead their transition to production-ready solutions.

- Serve as the primary technical contact during implementation, providing documentation and guidance to engineering teams.

- Assess legacy systems and plan schema conversion and data transformation strategies.

- Apply principles of modular architecture, dimensional modelling, normalization/denormalization, and metadata strategy.

- Produce architecture diagrams, migration plans, and standards documentation.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural standards.

- Engage in cross-team forums and meetings to resolve open issues and drive consensus.

- Collaborate with Project Managers and Leads to provide timely updates, flag risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

- Mentor and Coach Jr Architects & Engineers

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business objectives with data strategies.

- Research and adopt modern architectures (Data Mesh, AI-ready platforms).

- Develop reusable libraries and frameworks to accelerate productivity.

- Evaluate tools, platforms, and vendors for modernization and migration initiatives.

- Develop technology roadmap considering current and future requirements.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Biomedical Engineering or a related field .

- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, data governance, security compliance, and performance optimization.

- Ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and drive strategic data initiatives.

- Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks

- Databricks Certifications (Data Professional)
