Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe expert to join our core infrastructure team in Pune or Bangalore. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the technical authority for our CICS environment, ensuring the seamless execution of mission-critical business applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional application development teams, security architects, and global stakeholders to optimize system performance, resolve complex technical bottlenecks, and fortify our mainframe security posture. Your contributions will directly influence the stability and reliability of our enterprise-wide transaction processing systems, ensuring that our clients experience uninterrupted service and optimal system availability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain robust CICS environments to ensure high availability and efficient resource utilization for enterprise-level transaction processing.

- Lead complex troubleshooting initiatives by performing deep-dive analysis of system dumps and logs to resolve critical performance degradation or outages.

- Implement and manage rigorous security protocols using RACF to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with application development teams to provide technical guidance on CICS coding standards and performance tuning, reducing latency in production environments.

- Drive the modernization and optimization of mainframe infrastructure by identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.

- Mentor junior technical staff and provide subject matter expertise during high-pressure incident management scenarios to minimize business impact.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in managing and tuning large-scale CICS environments, with a proven ability to handle complex system-level issues independently.

- Advanced proficiency in Mainframe troubleshooting techniques, including the ability to interpret system dumps, trace files, and logs to identify root causes of failures.

- Extensive experience in administering RACF security policies, ensuring granular access control and comprehensive audit readiness within the mainframe ecosystem.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional discussions effectively.

- A track record of delivering results in a 12 - 20 year career trajectory, showing consistent growth in technical leadership and architectural responsibility.

- Proven adaptability to work in a hybrid or on-site environment, maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration across distributed global teams.

- A strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by a commitment to continuous learning in evolving mainframe technologies.
