Qualification : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Role Overview :

The SAP PP/QM Consultant is responsible for supporting, configuring, and implementing SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. This role involves working with business users, gathering requirements, performing system configuration, supporting daytoday operations, and participating in implementation or enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities :

1. SAP PP (Production Planning) Responsibilities :

Assist in configuring PP submodules such as :

a. Master Data (Material Master, BOM, Work Center, Routing)

b. MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

c. Production Order Management

d. Capacity Planning

e. Demand Management (PIR, SOP)

f. Planning Strategies for MTS & MTO

g. WBS BOM Management

- Support enduser issues for production planning and shop-floor processes.

- Participate in system testing (Unit, Integration, UAT).

- Prepare and update functional specifications for enhancements and reports.

- Support PPrelated Interfaces & IDOC.

Monitor and troubleshoot :

a. Planned orders and production orders

b. MRP errors/exceptions

c. Confirmation issues

2. SAP QM (Quality Management) Responsibilities :

Configure and support :

a.. Different Inspection Type & Activation

b. Quality Inspection Lots

c. Results Recording & Usage Decision

d. Quality Certificates

e. Quality Notifications

f. Inspection Plans & MICs

- Assist in the setup and monitoring of in-process, incoming, and final inspections.

- Support Q-notification workflows for defects and corrective actions.

- Work with PP/MM teams on QM integration points (e.g., Procurement, Production).

- Troubleshoot inspection lot, QMMM, QMPP issues.

Required Technical Skills :

- S/4HANA skills (ECC to S/4HANA migration experience is a plus)

- Understanding of SAP PP and/or QM processes.

- End to End Configuration knowledge in at least one of the modules.

- Familiarity with integration points between PP, QM, MM, and SD.

- Strong Knowledge of SAP Master Data :

a. Material Master

b. BOM

c. Routing

d. Inspection Plans

- Basic ABAP Program Debugging Skill

- Z Table Creation & Maintenance
