Celebal Technologies - Technical Project Manager - Data Platform

Description :

- Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform and data product initiatives

- Own project planning, scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies

- Drive Agile ceremonies : sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives

- Track progress and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery

- Manage cross-team dependencies and delivery milestones

Data & Platform Management :

- Manage projects involving Databricks (Lakehouse architecture)

- Oversee delivery of data products (curated datasets, analytics layers, dashboards, ML outputs)

- Ensure implementation of data lineage, metadata management, and data governance

- Coordinate integration between source systems, data pipelines, and downstream consumers

- Work with architects and engineers to align solutions with platform standards

Stakeholder & Technical Coordination :

- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams

- Translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables

- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively

- Coordinate with DevOps and platform teams for releases and deployments

Quality, Risk & Governance :

- Ensure adherence to data quality, security, and compliance standards

- Identify and mitigate risks related to data availability, performance, and dependencies

- Support release management and production readiness

- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes

Required Skills & Experience :

Core Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in Technical Project Management / TPM roles

- Strong experience managing data-centric projects

- Hands-on or strong working knowledge of Databricks

- Experience delivering data products and analytics platforms

- Understanding of data lineage, metadata, and data governance

- Strong experience with Agile / Scrum / SAFe

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Technical Knowledge (Working Level) :

- Data engineering concepts : ETL/ELT, batch & streaming

- SQL and data modeling fundamentals

- API and system integrations

- Cloud platforms : AWS / Azure / GCP

- CI/CD concepts for data and platform deployments

Good to Have :

- Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms

- Exposure to Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra, Alation, or similar tools

- Understanding of Data Mesh / Domain-oriented data products

- Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
