Capgemini - SAP MM Functional Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Functional Lead to drive end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Materials Management solutions.

The role requires strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, cross-module integration, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver scalable, high-quality SAP solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and architecture of SAP MM solutions across Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles.

- Configure and customize SAP MM modules including :

1. Purchasing (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts)

2. Vendor Master Data Management

3. Inventory Management (GR, GI, Stock Transfers)

4. Invoice Verification (LIV)

5. Special Procurement Processes (Subcontracting, Consignment, STOs)

- Act as the primary SME for SAP MM, providing strategic and technical guidance.

- Ensure best practices in system design, scalability, and compliance.

- Drive seamless integration of MM with :

1. Finance (FI)

2. Sales & Distribution (SD)

3. Production Planning (PP)

4. Quality Management (QM)

- Warehouse Management / Extended Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)

- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, BASIS) for enhancements and issue resolution.

- Support data consistency and process alignment across modules.

- Lead full-cycle SAP MM implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and AMS support engagements.

- Conduct requirement gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional solutions.

- Perform fit-gap analysis and define solution approaches.

- Develop and review Business Blueprint documents and functional specifications.

- Prepare and validate functional specifications for WRICEF objects :

1. Workflows

2. Reports

3. Interfaces

4. Conversions

5. Enhancements

6. Forms

- Work closely with ABAP developers to ensure accurate development and testing.

- Support integration testing (SIT), UAT, and defect resolution.

- Engage with business stakeholders, procurement teams, and leadership to understand requirements.

- Provide solution demos, training, and user support.

- Act as a trusted advisor for process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.

- Provide post-go-live support and ensure system stability.

- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and inventory processes.

- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.

- Maintain proper documentation including configuration, test cases, and user manuals.

- Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 to 13 years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP MM.

- Deep expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle.

- Hands-on experience in configuration of MM modules.

- Strong knowledge of integration with FI, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM.

- Experience in at least 23 full-cycle SAP implementations.

Technical & Functional :

- Experience in WRICEF design and documentation.

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA (preferred).

- Understanding of ABAP debugging and technical concepts.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

- SAP MM Certification.

- Experience in global rollouts or multi-country implementations.

- Exposure to Ariba, SRM, or procurement digitization tools is an added advantage.

- End-to-end SAP MM solution design and implementation.

- High-quality functional documentation and configurations.

- Seamless integration with other SAP modules.

- Successful project delivery within timelines and budget.
