Capgemini - Guidewire Lead

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Lead with 6-11 years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in Guidewire applications, preferably Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, Guidewire configuration and integration, and hands-on experience in designing scalable solutions, leading development teams, and driving end-to-end implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of Guidewire applications such as ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter.

- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs and implementation solutions.

- Perform configuration and customization using Gosu, Guidewire Studio, Data Model, PCF, Rules, Workflows, and GxModel.

- Design and modify existing workflows, especially for Billing integrations and business process improvements.

- Implement and support Guidewire batch processes, messaging framework, and asynchronous processing.

- Design and develop integrations between Guidewire applications and external third-party systems.

- Work extensively on SOAP/REST Web Services, XML, XSD, and Guidewire Messaging Framework.

- Implement integrations with external systems including payment gateways, document management systems, and enterprise applications.

- Work with document generation and composition tools such as Xpressions and Thunderhead.

- Perform administrative data loading activities using Guidewire data loading tools.

- Design and optimize database queries and troubleshoot data-related issues.

- Work with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and support data migration activities.

Technical Leadership :

- Lead a team of Guidewire developers and provide technical guidance and best practices.

- Review technical designs, code quality, and ensure adherence to Guidewire standards.

- Participate in architecture discussions and provide recommendations for scalable solutions.

- Perform effort estimation, task allocation, and monitor project delivery timelines.

- Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Work in an Agile/SCRUM environment and actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification will be an added advantage.

Candidate Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- 6-11 years of IT experience with significant experience in Guidewire development and implementation.

- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes, including policy administration, billing, and claims lifecycle.

- Experience in leading technical teams and interacting with business stakeholders.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Guidewire certifications (ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, or BillingCenter).

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.

- Experience in Guidewire implementation, migration, or upgrade projects.

- Exposure to cloud-based Guidewire environments is an added advantage.
