We are seeking an experienced Camunda BPM Developer with strong expertise in Business Process Management (BPM), workflow automation, and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with Camunda BPM and should be proficient in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining business process solutions using Camunda Process Engine and Spring Boot.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing business workflows, developing process-driven applications, integrating enterprise systems, and automating business operations using BPMN 2.0 standards. The role requires expertise in process modeling, workflow orchestration, rule engine implementation, user task management, Docker-based deployments, and process monitoring within enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient business process automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Camunda BPM Development & Implementation :

- Design, develop, and implement business process automation solutions using Camunda BPM.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into BPMN-based workflow solutions.

- Develop scalable and maintainable process-driven applications using Camunda Process Engine.

- Configure, customize, and optimize Camunda workflows based on business requirements.

- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

BPMN Process Modeling :

- Create and maintain BPMN 2.0 process models using Camunda Modeler.

- Design complex business workflows using BPMN core notations and standards.

- Implement process orchestration involving User Tasks, Service Tasks, Business Rule Tasks, Events, Gateways, and Sub-Processes.

- Develop reusable process models and workflow templates for enterprise-wide use.

- Ensure process models follow BPM best practices and governance standards.

Spring Boot & Camunda Integration :

- Develop enterprise-grade applications using Spring Boot integrated with Camunda Process Engine.

- Build RESTful APIs and backend services to support process automation workflows.

- Integrate Camunda workflows with external systems, databases, and enterprise applications.

- Implement business services and workflow execution logic using Java and Spring Boot.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and maintainability of process-driven applications.

Workflow Design & Process Automation :

- Configure and implement User Tasks, Approval Workflows, Service Tasks, and Automated Processes.

- Develop and manage complex process flows using Gateways, Conditional Flows, Event-Based Processing, and Multi-Instance Activities.

- Implement Sub-Processes and reusable workflow components to simplify process management.

- Design and configure business rules and decision-making workflows using Rule Engine concepts.

- Automate business operations and improve process efficiency through workflow optimization.

Process Deployment & Monitoring :

- Deploy and manage Camunda process applications across development, testing, and production environments.

- Monitor workflow execution, process instances, task performance, and business transactions.

- Troubleshoot workflow execution issues and identify process bottlenecks.

- Configure process monitoring dashboards and operational reporting mechanisms.

- Ensure smooth execution of long-running and high-volume business processes.

Groovy Scripting & Customization :

- Develop custom process logic using Groovy Scripts within Camunda workflows.

- Implement dynamic process behavior and business rules using scripting capabilities.

- Customize workflow execution and task handling based on business requirements.

- Optimize scripts for performance, maintainability, and security.

Docker & Environment Management :

- Configure and deploy Camunda applications using Docker containers.

- Create and manage Docker environments for development, testing, and production deployments.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and infrastructure provisioning.

- Support containerized application deployments and cloud-native workflow solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Develop and execute unit tests for Camunda workflows and Spring Boot applications.

- Perform process validation, workflow testing, and integration testing.

- Ensure complete test coverage for critical business workflows.

- Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.

- Identify and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.

Production Support & Troubleshooting :

- Provide L2/L3 support for production workflow applications.

- Troubleshoot workflow failures, process execution issues, and integration problems.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Support system upgrades, process enhancements, and platform maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 5+ years of overall software development experience.

- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Camunda BPM.

- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development.

- Excellent understanding of BPM concepts and workflow automation.
