Calypso Technical Analyst

Job Role:

We are looking for a Calypso Technical Analyst to provide comprehensive technical support to the Treasury Business Unit, covering Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office operations.

The candidate should have strong experience with the Calypso Trading Platform, Calypso infrastructure, Unix environments, technical troubleshooting, and system administration. The role involves supporting and optimizing the Calypso platform, ensuring seamless integrations, system stability, and high performance.

The candidate will work closely with clients, business users, and technical teams to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while acting as a technical subject matter expert for Calypso and Treasury processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide end-to-end technical support for the Calypso platform across Treasury operations.

- Analyze and resolve incidents reported by business users within defined SLAs.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes.

- Perform code debugging to identify root causes, implement temporary fixes, and coordinate permanent resolutions.

- Monitor critical system processes and promptly address failures or irregularities.

- Support and administer Calypso infrastructure to ensure system stability and performance.

- Automate operational tasks and manage Calypso deployments in Unix environments.

- Troubleshoot Calypso integrations with other financial systems.

- Configure, customize, and troubleshoot various Calypso modules.

- Optimize Calypso platform performance and support end users.

- Maintain best practices in system administration, technical troubleshooting, and platform optimization.

- Collaborate closely with clients, business users, and stakeholders to understand and resolve technical challenges.

- Act as a technical SME for Calypso and Treasury-related processes.

Skills & Experience:

- Extensive hands-on experience with the Calypso Trading Platform.

- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture, integration processes, and core functionalities.

- Experience configuring, customizing, and troubleshooting Calypso modules.

- Strong hands-on experience with Calypso APIs, Version 16 and above.

- Strong knowledge of Calypso frameworks and components: Reporting, Messaging, Accounting, Message Matching, Scheduled Tasks, Workflows, Engines, FOWS.

- Experience with Calypso infrastructure, deployment, system administration, and technical troubleshooting.

- Strong Unix skills, including deployment and automation.

- Strong Core Java knowledge.

- Experience with Oracle SQL Database.

- Experience with JBoss.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and business stakeholders.

Domain Knowledge:

- Good understanding of Capital Markets products and processes.

- Strong understanding of the complete Trade Lifecycle.

- Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes.

- Experience with relevant asset classes: Foreign Exchange (FX), Fixed Income, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange Options.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory: Calypso V16+, Calypso APIs, Calypso Frameworks, Core Java, Oracle SQL, Unix, JBoss.
