Role Overview :
As a Calypso Developer at Nazztec, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the Calypso platform. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality code. Your work will directly impact our clients' ability to efficiently manage their trading operations, mitigate risks, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and customize Calypso components, including trade processing workflows, reporting, and interfaces, to meet specific client requirements.
- Design and implement database schemas and queries using Oracle and SQL to support Calypso functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Calypso environment, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Work with the team to enhance and improve the Calypso platform based on client feedback and industry best practices.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to develop and customize Calypso applications, including knowledge of Calypso APIs, event listeners, and task schedulers.
- Proven expertise in database design and development using Oracle and SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with application servers such as JBOSS, including deployment and configuration of Calypso applications.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, including fixed income, derivatives, and FX.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
