Role Purpose :

Manufacturing IT Operations :

- Lead IT operations for manufacturing plants including MES, LIMS, QMS, DMS, SCADA, PLC systems, and shop-floor automation.

- Act as IT SPOC for all manufacturing units.

Compliance & Regulatory :

- Ensure IT systems comply with GMP, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, USFDA, MHRA, WHO guidelines.

- Lead CSV (Computer System Validation) activities including URS, IQ, OQ, PQ.

- Support regulatory audits and inspections from an IT perspective.

Digital Transformation :

- Drive digital initiatives such as paperless manufacturing, smart factory, Industry 4.0, and automation.

- Implement and enhance MES, serialization, track & trace, and data integrity systems.

- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to improve productivity and compliance.

Infrastructure & Security :

- Ensure strong data integrity, cybersecurity, access control, and disaster recovery mechanisms.

- Manage IT vendors, system integrators, and AMC partners.

ERP & Applications :

- Module Ownership : Manage and take ownership of corporate applications used in manufacturing - including ERP, HR, and SCM as well as all plant-level integrations.

- Corporate Coordination : Coordinate all system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements directly with the corporate IT team.

- System Integration : Ensure seamless integration between corporate applications and all existing manufacturing systems.

Team & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead and mentor plant IT teams.

- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Corporate IT.

- Manage IT budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and vendor contracts.

Key Skills & Competencies :

- Strong experience in Pharma Manufacturing IT

- Deep knowledge of GxP compliance & CSV

- Hands-on exposure to MES, LIMS, QMS

- Understanding of shop-floor automation & OT systems

- Vendor and project management skills

- Strong stakeholder communication and leadership

Qualification & Experience :

- B.E./B.Tech (IT/Computer/Instrumentation) or equivalent

- 15+ years of IT experience, with 810 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing

- Prior experience as Plant IT Head / Manufacturing IT Lead preferred

Preferred Background :

- Experience in formulation / API / injectables / OSD plants

- Experience in regulated markets (US/EU)
