About the Role :

We are looking for a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Consultant to support and strengthen the organization's Operational Resilience Program. The role will focus on ensuring the organization's ability to sustain critical business operations and recover effectively from disruptive events that may impact customers, technology platforms, applications, infrastructure, or business processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with IT, Information Security, Business Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders to develop, maintain, test, and improve Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and operational resilience strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Support the implementation and ongoing management of the organization's Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience Program.

- Develop, maintain, and update Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).

- Conduct and support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical business processes, systems, dependencies, and recovery requirements.

- Identify potential operational, technology, and business disruptions and assess their impact on critical services.

- Support the definition and maintenance of Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).

- Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery testing, tabletop exercises, simulations, and recovery drills.

- Document test results, identify gaps, track remediation activities, and ensure timely closure of action items.

- Work with IT infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, and business teams to validate disaster recovery capabilities.

- Maintain accurate documentation of recovery procedures, critical dependencies, contacts, escalation processes, and recovery strategies.

- Support risk assessments and identification of vulnerabilities within critical business and technology processes.

- Assist with incident and crisis management activities during major disruptions.

- Support the development and maintenance of crisis management and communication procedures.

- Monitor compliance with internal policies, standards, and applicable business continuity requirements.

- Prepare reports, dashboards, and management updates on BCP/DR readiness, risks, testing status, and remediation activities.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organizational resilience and recovery capabilities.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers where required for continuity and recovery planning.

Required Skills :

- Strong understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM) principles and practices.

- Hands-on experience with Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

- Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and IT Disaster Recovery.

- Understanding of Operational Resilience concepts and frameworks.

- Experience conducting or supporting Business Impact Analysis (BIA).

- Knowledge of RTO, RPO, recovery strategies, and critical business dependencies.

- Experience coordinating BCP/DR testing and recovery exercises.

- Strong documentation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work effectively with IT, Information Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Business teams.

- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and technology dependencies.
