Business Analyst - Power BI

Job Description :

This role is responsible for analyzing and evaluating user business problems and developing business system or process recommendations that meet operational requirements. The position plays a key role in defining, upgrading, and implementing business applications and functional solutions. A strong focus on digitization-first approaches is mandatory to enhance efficiency, reduce manual operations, and drive automation-led transformation.

The role also involves significant project management responsibilities, including planning, execution, governance, and delivery of internal non-technical business projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze user business challenges, define problems, evaluate requirements, and provide system/process recommendations.

- Participate in business systems planning to define or upgrade applications and functional solutions.

- Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT to translate business requirements into functional designs.

- Lead and manage internal non-technical business projects from initiation through completion.

- Ensure effective cross-functional communication and keep leadership updated on progress, issues, and risks.

Mandatory Digitization & Technology Responsibilities :

- Lead digital transformation initiatives to modernize business processes and reduce manual interventions.

- Drive automation-led improvements across processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability.

- Ensure all new solutions follow a digitization-first approach as a foundation for process enhancement.

Microsoft Power Platform Expertise :

- Hands-on experience building and deploying :

1. Power Apps (canvas and model-driven applications)

2. Power Automate workflows for automation of manual processes

3. Power Virtual Agents for conversational automation

Power BI Proficiency :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytics reports.

- Provide actionable business insights using data visualization best practices.

- Collaborate with functional teams to define KPIs and improve data-driven decision-making.

AI Awareness & Enablement :

- Understanding of AI concepts, capabilities, and practical business applications.

- Identify opportunities for applying AI/ML to improve efficiency and experience.

- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and digital teams to pilot and implement AI-driven use cases.

Job Posting Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.

- Post-graduate, certification, and/or license may be required.

- Typically, at least 1-2+ years relevant experience.
