Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong testing experience in Core Banking, covering Retail and/or Corporate Banking. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of banking products, business processes, requirement analysis, functional testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA professionals to ensure banking applications meet business requirements and deliver accurate, reliable functionality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for core banking applications.

- Work on Retail Banking and/or Corporate Banking modules and related business processes.

- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, and process flows.

- Develop and review test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements.

- Perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and UAT.

- Validate banking transactions, account processing, payments, deposits, loans, and related workflows.

- Identify, document, track, and resolve defects in coordination with development and QA teams.

- Conduct gap analysis and support impact assessments for banking system enhancements.

- Coordinate with business users, product teams, operations, and technical stakeholders.

- Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, and post-implementation validation.

- Ensure compliance with banking processes, operational controls, and applicable business requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis and/or testing within the banking domain.

- Strong knowledge of Core Banking Systems, preferably in Retail Banking and/or Corporate Banking.

- Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, functional documentation, and stakeholder management.

- Practical experience in functional testing, test case preparation, defect management, and UAT.

- Understanding of banking products such as savings and current accounts, deposits, loans, payments, and transaction processing.

- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

- Experience with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or equivalent.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to core banking platforms such as Finacle, FLEXCUBE, or Temenos.

- Experience in banking transformation, system migration, or application enhancement projects.

- Knowledge of SQL and database validation for testing purposes.

- Experience working with business users and technology teams in a banking environment.
