Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Aligne / FIS Energy Trading (ETRM) systems to support business-critical trading, settlement, and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional exposure to Gas and/or Power trading, hands-on experience with the GBO module, and the ability to analyze, design, and support complex batch processes and system integrations.

This role will work closely with traders, operations, risk, settlements, and technology teams to ensure smooth deal lifecycle processing, accurate settlements, and reliable reporting across trading platforms. The candidate should be comfortable working in Agile environments and engaging senior stakeholders across business and IT.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Analysis & Functional Ownership :

- Act as a subject-matter expert for Aligne / FIS ETRM, with strong hands-on involvement in the GBO module.

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Gas and Power trading operations.

- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, workflows, and solution designs.

- Support the full deal lifecycle, including deal capture, confirmations, settlements, invoicing, and reporting.

Trading Operations & ETRM Support :

- Work closely with Trading, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure system alignment with business processes.

- Analyze and troubleshoot issues across trading, settlements, and reporting processes within Aligne.

- Support day-to-day production issues, root cause analysis, and system enhancements.

Batch Processing & System Integration :

- Design, manage, and support complex batch processes supporting trading and settlement workflows.

- Oversee system integrations between Aligne and upstream/downstream systems (market data, risk, finance, reporting platforms).

- Troubleshoot integration failures and performance issues, ensuring data integrity across systems.

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management :

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos.

- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product owners to ensure timely delivery of solutions.

- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, providing clear updates, impact analysis, and recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Must Have :

- 8+ years of experience in IT or Business Analyst roles, preferably within the Energy Trading domain.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Aligne / FIS Energy Trading (ETRM) systems.

- Strong functional experience with the GBO module.

- Solid exposure to Gas and/or Power trading markets.

- In-depth understanding of deal lifecycle, settlements, and trading-related reporting.

- Proven ability to design and manage complex batch processes.

- Strong experience with system integrations and production issue troubleshooting.

- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Aligne development or configuration.

- Exposure to Endur or other ETRM platforms.

- Experience in ETRM transformation programs (e.g., Aligne ? Endur).

- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
