Role Overview :

As a Ruby on Rails FullStack Developer/Lead at Bounteous, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable web applications for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. Your expertise will be vital in guiding development best practices, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception to deployment. Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable web applications using Ruby on Rails for diverse client projects.

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement effective solutions.

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.

- Lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and support to foster their growth and development.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, identify potential issues, and share knowledge within the team.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with other systems and services, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure application stability.

- Deploy and maintain applications on AWS infrastructure, leveraging cloud services to optimize performance and scalability.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in developing web applications using Ruby on Rails, including a strong understanding of its core principles and best practices.

- Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and services.

- Solid understanding of relational database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL, including experience with database design, optimization, and querying.

- Expertise in front-end development using JavaScript and React, with the ability to build interactive and user-friendly interfaces.

- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including deploying and managing applications using services like EC2, S3, and RDS.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
