Role Overview :

Were looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build scalable systems that power our investing platform. Youll work on core financial workflows, third-party integrations, and high-performance APIs handling real-money transactions. This role requires strong ownership, clean engineering practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs

- Build scalable and secure microservices

- Integrate with payment gateways, brokerage systems, and external financial APIs

- Optimize database performance and system reliability

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms

- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and Compliance teams

- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system resilience

- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code

Tech Stack :

- Our backend is primarily built on Node.js, with Python used for select services.

- We use Express.js and FastAPI to build scalable, production-ready APIs.

- Our data layer runs on PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with Redis used for caching and performance optimization.

- We leverage Kafka and RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing and event-driven workflows.

- Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, with Docker and CI/CD pipelines enabling smooth deployments.

- We design and maintain REST APIs and Webhooks for integrations.

- Security is implemented using JWT and OAuth2 standards.

What Were Looking For :

- 2 - 4 years of backend development experience

- Strong understanding of system design and distributed systems

- Experience building secure, scalable APIs

- Knowledge of database optimization and performance tuning

- Understanding of authentication and security best practices

- Experience in fintech / payments / high-transaction systems (preferred)

- Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving ability
