About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Boomi Kong Developer with expertise in API Management, Kong Gateway, and Boomi Kong Konnect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, securing, deploying, and managing enterprise APIs while ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver robust API solutions in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and manage APIs using Boomi Kong Gateway and Boomi Kong Konnect.

- Configure API routing, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies.

- Develop, publish, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Implement API authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, JWT, OIDC, and mTLS.

- Deploy and manage Kong Gateway in Docker and Kubernetes environments.

- Monitor API performance, availability, and reliability, and optimize for scalability.

- Troubleshoot API-related issues and provide production support.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams for API integrations.

- Automate deployments and API lifecycle management using CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure API governance, compliance, and security best practices are followed.

- Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

1. API Management :

- Strong hands-on experience with Boomi Kong Gateway and Boomi Kong Konnect.

- Solid understanding of API Gateway architecture and API Management concepts.

- Experience in designing, developing, and managing enterprise APIs.

2. API Development :

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, API Lifecycle Management, API Versioning, and API Documentation.

3. API Security :

- Expertise in OAuth 2.0, JWT (JSON Web Tokens), OpenID Connect (OIDC), Mutual TLS (mTLS), and API Authentication & Authorization.

4. Containerization & Cloud :

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Containerized Deployments, and Cloud-based API Platforms.

5. DevOps & Automation :

- Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools, and Deployment Automation.

6. Monitoring & Performance :

- API Monitoring and Logging, Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis, and High Availability and Scalability.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Boomi Professional or Kong Gateway certification is an added advantage.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

- Familiarity with API governance and enterprise integration patterns.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
