Certification : Scrum Master Certification is mandatory


Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Scrum Master with a solid understanding of Agile practices and hands-on familiarity with Java Spring Boot development. The ideal candidate will possess strong facilitation and coaching skills, the ability to remove team impediments efficiently, and a proven track record of supporting high-performing development teams.


Key Responsibilities :


Facilitation & Agile Practices :

- Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

- Update and manage the Scrum board regularly to reflect accurate team progress.

- Ensure Scrum events are conducted effectively and on time.

- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to maintain a well-groomed product backlog.


Team Coaching & Development :

- Coach team members on Agile values, Scrum principles, and best practices.

- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and team ownership.

- Lead and guide the team through discussions and healthy debates, ensuring alignment on goals.


Impediment Removal & Team Protection :

- Act as a shield for the team, removing external and internal blockers.

- Intervene when necessary to ensure team focus and productivity are maintained.

- Actively support the team in identifying and addressing challenges early.


Collaboration & Communication :

- Coordinate with stakeholders, external teams, and cross-functional units as needed.

- Provide regular updates on product and sprint status to relevant stakeholders.

- Ensure the team has the tools, information, and support required to succeed.


Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.

- Practical knowledge of Java Spring Boot applications.

- Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence for Agile project tracking and documentation.

- Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to mentor teams and promote Agile mindset.


Good to Have :

- Prior hands-on experience in software development.

- Exposure to performance testing or working knowledge of performance tools.

- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.


Soft Skills :

- Active listening and problem-solving mindset.

- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

- Ability to motivate and engage team members.
