Job Overview :


EY is looking for a Big Data Developer / Senior Data Engineer with strong analytical, problem-solving,

programming, business KPI understanding, and communication skills. The candidate should be a
self-learner, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and capable of working independently as
needed. The role involves working with diverse stakeholders and delivering data engineering
solutions in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical environments using Palantir Foundry.

Responsibilities :


Technical :


- Design, develop, and maintain data models, integrations, and workflows within Palantir Foundry.


- Hands-on experience with Foundry components and solutions such as Usecare, DTI, Code


- Analyze data in Foundry for insights and exploratory data analysis (for example, Contour).


- Use Python and SQL for data transformations, querying, and analysis.

- Build and optimize relational data models aligned with OLAP principles to improve storage and

retrieval.

- Develop distributed data processing with Spark APIs : PySpark, Spark SQL, RDD/DataFrames, plus

libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.

- Integrate Foundry with external systems via APIs to enable seamless data flows.


- Design integration patterns across batch, near real-time, and incremental loads with clear

specifications.

- Optimize pipelines and fine-tune Foundry configurations for performance and efficiency.


- Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and maintain end-user

documentation.

- Work on data warehousing and data engineering problem statements including modelling and

pipeline design.

- Apply security principles to ensure data privacy and protection when handling sensitive datasets.


- Support advanced analytics by enabling ML/AI integrations within the Palantir environment, where

required.

Non-Technical :


- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and KPIs, identify opportunities, and

drive continuous improvement.

- Ensure compliance with organizational policies for data privacy, security, and regulatory

requirements.

- Provide training and support to end users to improve Foundry adoption and effective usage.


- Continuously upskill on tools and technologies aligned with evolving organizational needs.


- Work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently when required, in a fast-paced

environment.

Required Skills :


- Strong hands-on Palantir Foundry experience : data modelling, pipelines, workflows, and integrations.


- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.


- Strong Spark and distributed processing : PySpark, Spark SQL, RDD/DataFrames.


- Solid foundation in data engineering, data warehousing, and data modelling concepts.


- Strong debugging, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.


- Exposure to Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical domains is preferred.
