Description:

- Oversee the maintenance, performance, and security of SQL databases.

- Conduct regular database optimization, tuning, and indexing.

- Implement and enforce database security measures.

- Manage database access, roles, and permissions.

- Managing data pipelines and integrations.

- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

- Apply database updates, patches, and upgrades.

- Assist in data modeling and database design.

- Database integration from external systems.

- Monitor database capacity and plan for future needs.

- Document database configurations and procedures.

- Collaborate with IT staff and provide training to users.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, (Oracle, MySQL, or other relational databases is a plus).

- Knowledge of Azure IaaS & PaaS.

- Knowledge of Data Factory.

- Experience in data integrations or transformative data architecture to modern, or cutting-edge solutions that leverage AI.

- IT Background and ITSM Tools: Experience with tools like ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jira, and familiarity with IT metrics.

- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.

- Familiarity with database security practices.

- Proficiency in backup and recovery methods.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Certifications in relevant database technologies.

- Experience with Azure cloud-based database services.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, etc).

- Familiarity with data warehousing and BI tools.
