Responsibilities :
- Manage and configure the Backstage Developer Portal.
- Maintain plugins, templates, and catalog integrations.
- Support onboarding of teams and services.
- Develop Golden Path templates for service scaffolding.
- Customize Backstage UI, APIs, and plugins to improve developer productivity and usability.
- Implement governance controls for templates, plugins, and catalog entities.
- Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for the Backstage platform.
- Ensure platform security, access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining internal developer platforms using the Backstage framework, including deep knowledge of its plugin architecture and software catalog.
- Proficiency in full-stack development with a strong command of TypeScript, React, and Node.js, alongside experience in integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Proven ability to translate complex infrastructure requirements into intuitive, self-service user experiences that cater to the needs of high-performing engineering teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate cross-team collaboration in a distributed, remote-first environment.
- Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot platform-level issues and a proactive approach to staying updated with the evolving cloud-native and open-source landscape.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 8 to 10 years of professional experience in software engineering or platform development.
Mandatory Skills :
- Experience with large scale AD modernization or cloud identity transformation.
