Role Overview :

As a Backend Software Engineer at Clinikally, you will be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of our core platform.

You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and efficient backend systems that power our online dermatology services. Your work will directly impact the experience of our patients and dermatologists, ensuring seamless access to consultations, prescriptions, and personalized skincare recommendations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend APIs and services to support Clinikally's online platform.

- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services and ensure a seamless user experience for patients and dermatologists.

- Implement and maintain database schemas and optimize queries for performance and scalability.

- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to industry best practices.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing disruption to users.

- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and services, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

- Work with the Engineering Project Management team to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable backend systems using technologies such as Python, Node.js, or Java.

- Proven ability to work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience building and consuming APIs.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, delivering high-quality work on time.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
