Backend Engineer - Python Technologies

Description :

We are looking for a skilled backend/API engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance data delivery APIs for a regulated healthcare/compliance platform.

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in Python & FastAPI (or similar frameworks).

- Experience in building REST APIs (async & sync).

- Hands-on with OAuth, RBAC, token-based authentication & API security.

- Experience with API Gateway & enterprise integration patterns.

- Strong knowledge of microservices & containerization (Docker/K8s).

- Experience integrating with Snowflake & AWS S3.

- Knowledge of batch data delivery (SFTP/ECG or similar).

- Strong in logging, monitoring, observability & error handling.

- Experience in performance tuning & scalable system design.

- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows & production deployments.

- Exposure to regulated environments (Healthcare / Compliance) preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design & develop FastAPI-based REST APIs (async, batch & real-time).

- Build secure data access services with authentication & authorization.

- Integrate APIs with API Gateway & enterprise security systems.

- Implement batch extraction workflows & real-time data APIs.

- Work with Snowflake & S3 for data access & delivery.

- Ensure audit logging, compliance & observability.

- Handle error management, retries & performance optimization.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, QA & stakeholders.

- Support SIT, UAT & production deployments.
