We're a fast-growing B2B SaaS infrastructure company with a global customer base. Small team, real problems, high ownership. You'll work directly with the founder and a distributed engineering team.

The Role :

We're looking for a solid backend engineer who writes clean TypeScript, knows their way around Docker and Linux, and can build and maintain production-grade services. You don't need to be a DevOps specialist, but you need to be comfortable on a Linux server and not afraid of a broken container.

Must-Have Skills :

- Node.js - strong, production experience

- TypeScript - not just familiarity, you should be comfortable with it daily

- Docker - containers, compose, networking, debugging broken builds

- Linux - server administration, SSH, process management, basic troubleshooting

Strong Advantage If You Have :

- MongoDB and Redis experience

- BullMQ or similar queue-based systems (big plus - we use async job processing heavily)

- Browser automation with Playwright or Puppeteer

- Elysia framework (or willingness to pick it up fast)

- Basic Coolify / self-hosted deployment experience

What You'll Be Doing :

- Building and maintaining backend APIs and background workers

- Working with queue-based systems for high-volume async processing

- Writing browser automation scripts for internal tooling

- Debugging production issues on self-hosted Linux/Hetzner infrastructure

- Collaborating async with a small, senior-leaning remote team

Work Hours & Culture :

We offer flexible working hours - work when you're most productive. That said, you must be reachable and active between 9am-5pm UK time so the team stays aligned.

When something breaks in production, everyone's on deck until it's fixed. No "not my problem" attitudes here. We fix things together, fast. If you're the kind of person who steps up when things go wrong rather than waiting to be told what to do, you'll fit right in.

Who You Are :

- 1-5 years of backend engineering experience

- You debug independently and don't need your hand held

- You communicate clearly and flag issues early

- When there's an incident, you're online and working the problem - not waiting on the sidelines

- You take ownership - if something's broken, you fix it
