Backend Engineer - FastAPI & AWS Cognito

Description :

- Build and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.

- Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT, AWS Cognito, and SAML.

- Develop and manage microservices-based architectures for scalable applications.

- Secure APIs using AWS API Gateway and integrate Cognito Authorizers for access control.

- Configure and manage AWS IAM roles and policies following the principle of least privilege.

- Ensure secure communication and data protection across services.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and cloud teams to design end-to-end solutions.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience with FastAPI and Python-based backend development.

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design.

- Solid understanding of JWT-based authentication and authorization.

- Experience with AWS Cognito, including user pools, identity providers, and SAML integrations.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and service-to-service authentication.

- Working knowledge of the AWS platform, including core services.

- Basic understanding of AWS IAM roles and policies.

- Familiarity with securing APIs using AWS API Gateway.

- Understanding of how API Gateway integrates with Cognito Authorizers.
