About the Role :

Blue Pigeon is a young startup and we are growing extremely fast. We are developing an automated platform for cloud cost optimization and governance. We need a Backend Engineer with robust application development expertise to architect, implement, and maintain core backend infrastructure that deeply connects with AWS, GCP, and Azure ecosystems.

This position focuses on product-grade backend development rather than pure infrastructure or DevOps work. You'll construct backend systems that interface with cloud provider APIs, handle substantial volumes of usage and billing data, execute business logic, and orchestrate automated actions with reliability and security at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop backend services powering the Cloud platform

- Create integrations with AWS, GCP, and Azure APIs (billing, cost management, compute resources, Kubernetes, monitoring systems, IAM, and more)

Build business logic for :

A. Anomaly detection in cloud spending

B. Analysis of resource utilization patterns

C. Policy enforcement mechanisms and guardrails

D. Automated remediation processes

- Develop and maintain micro-services and API infrastructure for product functionality.

- Handle processing and aggregation of cloud usage, billing, and telemetry information at scale

- Create secure, traceable automation systems with rollback capabilities and safety controls

- Partner with DevOps teams, cloud engineers, and product stakeholders

- Produce clean, testable, thoroughly documented code ready for production SaaS deployment

- Participate in architectural planning with emphasis on reliability, accuracy, and consistent performance

Required Skills & Experience :

Proven backend application development background in one or more of :

- Python

- Node.js

- .NET

Practical experience building integrations with cloud provider APIs, ideally :

a. AWS SDKs and APIs

b. GCP APIs

c. Azure APIs

- Demonstrated ability designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend infrastructure

- Strong grasp of microservices architecture principles

- Working knowledge of :

- Authentication and authorization frameworks (IAM, roles, permissions)

- Asynchronous processing, background jobs, and schedulers

- Database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL)

- Confidence operating in cloud-native environments and distributed architectures
