Backend Engineer (Python / Go, Kubernetes-integrated APIs)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python/Go and experience building Kubernetes-integrated APIs.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize backend services that power scalable, cloud-native applications.

You will collaborate with platform engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-performance APIs and microservices that seamlessly integrate with Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop backend services and APIs in Python and Go.

- Build and maintain Kubernetes-integrated APIs for scalable microservices.

- Collaborate with platform teams to ensure smooth deployment and orchestration of services.

- Implement API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

- Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Integrate with databases, message queues, and cloud-native services.

- Drive automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements for backend services.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend and API-related issues.

- Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.

- Strong programming skills in Python and Go.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.

- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and microservices architecture.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Proficiency in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and caching systems (Redis).

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).

- Strong knowledge of API security, OAuth2, JWT, RBAC.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).

- Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

- Contributions to open-source projects related to APIs or Kubernetes.
