Job Description

Job Summary :

We are looking for a "Builder-Operator"a high-level engineer who doesn't just write server-side code but also owns the infrastructure that runs it. This role is the ultimate owner of our global website platform's production environment, responsible for the entire lifecycle from architectural design and AEM enterprise implementation to cloud orchestration and automated deployment.

The Role :

As the Backend & DevOps Architect, you bridge the gap between application code and cloud infrastructure. You will architect and own enterprise implementations of Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, Forms), build the APIs that power them, and engineer the CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Manager) and edge caching layers that host them.

Core Responsibilities

1. AEM & Backend Architecture :

- System Design : Architect a modular, scalable backend optimized for AEM as a Cloud Service, focusing on high-speed delivery and global availability.

- Content Modeling : Define content modeling strategies, taxonomies, and site governance; design scalable component architectures using Content and Experience Fragments.

- Modern Delivery : Lead the transition to Headless delivery models and Edge Delivery Services (EDS) to ensure sub-second page loads.

- API & Core Services : Build and maintain high-performance APIs (GraphQL/REST) that aggregate content from AEM and external data sources.

2. DevOps & Infrastructure Engineering :

- AEM Operations : Deep ownership of Cloud Manager, Dispatcher configurations, and CDN strategies.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Automate the cloud environment (AWS/Azure) using Terraform or Pulumi. "No manual changes" is your mantra.

- CI/CD Orchestration : Build and optimize pipelines that enable seamless, automated testing and zero-downtime releases.

- Containerization & SRE : Manage container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS) and implement deep observability (Logging, Tracing, Metrics) to monitor the "Golden Signals" of site performance.

3. Security & Governance :

- Identity & Access : Manage Identity Federation (SAML) for AEM authoring access and OIDC for platform security.

- DevSecOps : Integrate security scanning, WAF rules, and SSL/TLS management directly into the deployment pipeline to protect against global threats.

Required Qualifications :

Professional Experience :

- AEM Leadership : 8+ years of experience architecting enterprise solutions on AEM, with a proven track record as both a Senior Backend Developer and a DevOps/Cloud Engineer.

- AEM Mastery : Minimum 5 years of experience with AEM EDS, AEM Cloud, Experience Fragments, and Component Development.

- Web at Scale : Experience managing high-traffic websites (millions of visitors) where performance and uptime are non-negotiable.

Technical Competencies :

- AEM Ecosystem : Deep experience with AEM as a Cloud Service, Cloud Manager, and Edge Delivery Services (EDS).

- Backend Languages : Expert proficiency in Node.js, Go, or Python.

- Cloud & Containers : Mastery of AWS/Azure services, Docker, and Kubernetes.

- Infrastructure Tools : Expertise in Terraform, GitHub Actions (or GitLab CI/CD), and Helm.

- Web Networking : Advanced knowledge of CDNs (CloudFront/Cloudflare), DNS management, and Load Balancing.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- AEM Certifications : AEM Sites Architect, AEM DevOps Engineer, or AEM Sites/Assets/Forms Developer.
