Location : Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai

We are seeking an experienced Azure SQL DBA to manage, optimize, and secure cloud-based SQL databases on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure SQL services, database performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery, and will work closely with application and cloud teams to ensure reliable and scalable data platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VM

- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity using Azure-native tools

- Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning and execution

- Implement and manage high availability and business continuity solutions

- Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

- Manage database security including roles, permissions, encryption, and auditing

- Support database deployments, upgrades, and migrations to Azure

- Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure Automation

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams in Agile environments

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience as a SQL Server / Azure SQL DBA

• Azure SQL Database
• Azure SQL Managed Instance
• SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines

- Experience with Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerts

- Strong understanding of HA/DR concepts (Failover Groups, Geo-Replication, Always On)

- Experience with database security (TDE, Always Encrypted, auditing, RBAC)

- Knowledge of Azure networking and identity (VNets, Private Endpoints, Azure AD authentication)

- Experience with Azure migrations using tools like Azure Database Migration Service
