The Azure DevOps Engineer will support and operate a customer identity management platform built on Okta Auth0 (Customer Identity Platform), SCIM 2.0, and Azure cloud services. The role focuses on application onboarding, release management, identity lifecycle integrations, and customer facing UI customization, while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across environments.

This engineer will work within a DevOps operating model, supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and secure integrations with third party services such as Okta Auth0, Telesign, Duo Circle, Service Now, Social IDP (Google, Apple, Amazon), Azure, Akamai EDGE, and downstream customer applications.

Required Skills and Experience :

Infrastructure as Code & DevOps :

- Strong experience with Terraform as well as CLI-based approach for provisioning and managing Azure infrastructure.

- Proven experience implementing DevOps practices using GitHub and GitHub Actions. Promotion from lower environment to prod will be done via (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment) CICD Pipeline.

- Experience managing infrastructure and application deployments across sandbox, UAT, and production environments.

- Understanding of release packaging, versioning, rollback strategies, and change control in regulated enterprise environments.

Identity & SCIM Integration :

- Deep understanding of SCIM 2.0 and Identity Lifecycle Management, including:

- User creation, updates, de provisioning, and re activation

- Group and entitlement synchronization

- Experience integrating SCIM with CIPM 4.0 and downstream applications.

- Hands on experience with Auth0 database connections, identity provisioning, and de provisioning flows.

- Ability to design, develop, and maintain a custom SCIM 2.0 connector implemented in Node.js, adapted from Okta Professional Services boilerplates.

Strong REST API development skills :

- Proficient in Node.js application development for backend services.

- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and frontend customization.

- Ability to apply Shell branding and accessibility standards to customer facing UI components.

- General understanding of Java based frameworks used in enterprise environments

Azure App Service & Cloud Hosting :

- Experience hosting and operating Node.js services on Azure App Service (Premium v3), including:

- Zone redundant deployments

- Multi region (West Europe / North Europe) setups

- Warm standby and autoscaling configurations.

- Understanding of Azure VNET integration and NAT Gateway usage for controlled outbound traffic.

API Management & Gateway Security :

- Hands on experience with Azure API Management (Classic Premium) in multi region deployments.

- Ability to configure and maintain API policies, including :

1. Rate limiting and throttling

2. Token validation and authorization

3. Schema validation

4. Request/response logging and correlation

- Understanding of perimeter security controls, including :

1. Restricting API access to Akamai Site Shield CIDR ranges

2. Secure ingress and egress patterns

3. Logging, Monitoring & Observability

- Experience with Azure Log Analytics, including :

1. Designing and maintaining custom log tables

2. Understanding Auth0 and SCIM event log schemas

- Hands on experience with :

1. Azure Event Grid

2. Azure Function Apps

- Data Collection Rules (DCRs) for log ingestion and transformation

- Ability to support operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis using Azure Monitor and platform diagnostics.

- Security & Identity Standards

- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization standards :

- OAuth 2.0

- SAML 2.0

- FIDO / MFA concepts

- API gateways

- Cloud hosting platforms

- Edge services (Akamai)
