Key Responsibilities :

- Architect & Design : Lead the architectural design of complex, enterprise-level integrations between SAP (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba) and non-SAP systems (Third-party APIs, On-premise legacy systems).

- Development : Build robust iFlows using various adapters (OData, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, AS2) and advanced mapping techniques (Groovy Scripting, XSLT, Graphical Mapping).

- API Management : Design, publish, and manage APIs using SAP API Management to ensure secure and scalable consumption.

- Security & Governance : Implement best-in-class security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, Certificate-based authentication, and payload encryption/decryption.

- BTP Optimization : Utilize other SAP BTP services such as Event Mesh and Cloud Connector to enhance integration resilience.

- Troubleshooting : Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex production issues, performance tuning, and message monitoring.

- Mentorship : Provide technical guidance to junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to global standards.

Technical Skills Required :

- SAP BTP Integration Suite : Expert knowledge of Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and Open Connectors.

- Scripting : Proficient in Groovy Scripting and JavaScript for custom logic within iFlows.

- Messaging Patterns : Deep understanding of synchronous/asynchronous processing, retry mechanisms, and exception handling.

- SAP Backend : Strong familiarity with S/4HANA integration objects, IDOCs, Proxies, and BAPIs.

- DevOps : Experience with CI/CD tools (like Jenkins or Azure DevOps) for integration transports and version control.

Soft Skills & Qualifications :

- Analytical Mindset : Ability to translate vague business requirements into concrete technical specifications.

- Communication : Strong stakeholder management skills; able to explain technical constraints to non-technical business owners.

- Adaptability : Proven track record of hitting the ground running in fast-paced contract environments.

- Certification : SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Integration Suite (preferred).
