About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and Playwright. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright

- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable test scripts for web applications

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies

- Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios

- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA and ensure timely resolution

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing

- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing

- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured

- Improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and enhance automation efficiency

- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

- Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / Automation Testing

- Strong programming skills in Java

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver

- Strong experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)

- Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber - BDD)

- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

- Experience with API testing and automation

- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git

- Experience with defect tracking tools like JI
