Job Description :

Test Planning & Scenario Design :

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to identify testable scenarios.

- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and automation test plans covering functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.

- Identify automation feasibility and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk and coverage.

Automation Script Development & Execution :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and/or Playwright frameworks.

- Generate and maintain reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks following best practices.

- Implement automation using appropriate design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.

- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

Debugging & Script Optimization :

- Debug failing automation scripts and identify root causes related to application changes, environment issues, or framework defects.

- Enhance script stability by handling synchronization issues, dynamic elements, waits, and exception handling.

- Optimize test execution time and improve script performance and reliability.

- Maintain version control for automation code and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Test Execution & Defect Management :

- Execute automated and manual test cycles and analyze test results.

- Log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools.

- Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and perform re-testing and regression testing.

- Ensure defect closure with proper verification and documentation.

Test Data & Reporting :

- Prepare and manage test data required for automation and execution.

- Generate test execution reports, automation coverage reports, and summary status reports for stakeholders.

- Provide clear visibility into test results, defect trends, and quality metrics.

Post-Certification & Release Support :

- Coordinate and execute re-testing post-certification to validate fixes and enhancements.

- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of automated test execution after releases or environment changes.

- Support production validation and post-release verification activities when required.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement :

- Collaborate with QA, Development, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback from a test automation perspective.

- Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to automation frameworks, tools, and processes.

- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on automation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 7- 9 years of experience in Automation Testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar).

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with test frameworks, CI/CD integration, and version control tools.

- Good understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and agile methodologies.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
