Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior BI Tester with a strong foundation in Analytics Data Engineering to drive end-to-end quality assurance across data pipelines, data models, and BI reporting layers.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data validation, SQL-based testing, and BI report validation, with the ability to work closely with Data Engineering, BI Developers, and Business teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across enterprise reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

BI & Data Testing :

- Perform end-to-end testing across data ingestion, transformation, semantic models, and BI reports.

- Validate KPIs, metrics, aggregates, and business logic across dashboards and reporting layers.

- Perform reconciliation testing between source systems, data warehouse, and BI reports.

- Validate data refresh cycles, incremental loads, and historical data consistency.

Data Engineering Validation :

- Validate ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.

- Perform source-to-target mapping validation.

- Validate data transformations, joins, aggregations, and business rules.

- Support data pipeline troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Automation & Tooling :

- Develop automated data validation scripts using SQL, Python, or equivalent scripting tools.

- Support automation of BI report testing and regression validation.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality gates for data and BI releases.

- Support data monitoring and anomaly detection frameworks.

BI Report & Semantic Testing :

- Validate BI dashboards, filters, drill-through, slicers, and visual rendering.

- Validate semantic models, measures, calculated columns, and hierarchies.

- Perform UAT support and business validation coordination.

- Ensure consistency of business metrics across reports and business units.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support :

- Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Product Owners.

- Translate business rules into test scenarios and validation logic.

- Support release readiness and production validation.

- Participate in defect triage and production issue investigation.

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in BI Testing, Data Testing, or Analytics QA.

- Strong background in Data Engineering or ETL/Data Pipeline development.

- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (advanced queries, joins, window functions).

- Experience testing BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

- Experience with data warehouse or lakehouse environments.

- Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks.

- Understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake, Dimensional Modeling).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with modern analytics platforms and cloud data environments.

- Experience with automation using Python or similar scripting language.

- Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.

- Exposure to data governance, data lineage, and data quality monitoring tools.
